Hosting terms
Billing
- Plans are billed annually in advance, in Australian dollars. GST is not applicable, as I'm not registered for GST.
- Invoices are due within 21 days. If an invoice is still unpaid 14 days after it's due, service may be suspended after written notice.
- Managed WordPress has a one-off onboarding fee for each new website, which covers moving the site and setting it up.
- Plans renew automatically each year. Any price change takes effect from your next renewal, with written notice beforehand.
Upgrades and downgrades
- You can upgrade at any time. Unused time on your current plan is credited against the new one, and the switchover usually takes less than a minute.
- Downgrades take effect at your next renewal.
Support and extra work
- Support is by email, and you'll get a reply within 24 hours.
- Work outside what your plan includes, such as development or fixing changes made directly on the server, is billed hourly and quoted before it starts.
- Each plan includes a monthly data transfer allowance. If your site goes over it, the extra is billed per GB. I'll let you know before it's billed, and a larger plan is usually better value.
Cancelling and leaving
- First 30 days: If a new plan isn't right for you, cancel within 30 days for a full refund, less the onboarding fee and any work already done.
- After 30 days: You can cancel at any time. Your hosting continues until the end of the period you've paid for, and unused time isn't refunded.
- Not renewing: Let me know at least 30 days before your renewal date.
- Your site is yours: When you leave, you get a full copy of your website files and database at no charge. Domains and email are transferred to you or your new provider. Help moving to a new host is available at my hourly rate.
Your rights
- Nothing here limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
